Head of the Internal Medicine Section at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid

Doctor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (April 2006). Currently, she is Head of the Internal Medicine Section at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital in Madrid ( HURyC ).

At the teaching level, since September 2019 until now, she is Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Alcalá de Henares ( UAH ).

She is also Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the Alfonso X El Sabio University ( UAX ), from September 2014 to June 2018, Professor in the Master in Lysosomal Diseases of the University of Alcalá de Henares (in its three editions) ( UAH ), Associate Professor of the Department of Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Madrid ( UAM ), during 2008-2009, 2011-2012 and 2012-2013.

Director of the Doctoral Thesis: “Study of the clinical-biological relationship and prognostic value of the population with atypical ANCA antibodies ”. Faculty of Medicine. UAM (July 2011) and Member of the Evaluation Committee of the Doctoral Thesis: “ Study of Fabry disease in Spain and Europe: impact and analysis of the response to enzymatic treatment in women. Utility of a patient registry ” . Faculty of Medicine. UAM (September 2013).

She has participated in numerous research projects as principal investigator and is the author of several publications.

She is also a member of the Rare Diseases Group of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine ( SEMI ), since March 2010. Coordinator of the Rare Diseases Group of the SEMI, from November 2014 to November 2018, Member of the Advisory Committee of the " Plan to improve health care for people with rare diseases " of the Community of Madrid, since April 2016.
