Doctor of Medicine from the Autonomous University of Madrid (April 2006), with a doctoral thesis titled “Study of the population with Fabry disease in Spain: Analysis of the response to enzyme replacement therapy.”
A specialist in internal medicine at the Ramón y Cajal University Hospital (HURyC) in Madrid, she is also an Associate Professor of the Faculty of Medicine and Professor of the Master's Degree in Lysosomal Diseases at the University of Alcalá de Henares (UAH).
She is a member of the Spanish Society of Internal Medicine (SEMI) Rare Diseases Group. Dr López Rodríguez has authored more than 10 book chapters and more than 60 scientific articles.
